Smoked Salmon with Steamed Parboiled Sticky Rice

Parboiled sticky rice is a distinctive dish with young sticky rice grains that have a light green rice aroma and a gentle green color.
When combined with smoked salmon and Japanese rice seasoning, the sticky rice becomes more appealing and easier to eat, especially suitable for children.
The soft chewy sticky rice, richly flavored smoked salmon, and rice seasoning create a simple yet very delicious dish.

Ingredients

  • Parboiled sticky rice: 250 grams
  • Smoked salmon cut into small cubes: 150 grams
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp
  • Japanese rice seasoning (vegetable flavor): 15 grams

Instructions

  1. Rinse the parboiled sticky rice lightly with water, do not wash thoroughly to retain nutrients.
  2. Soak the rice for about 15 minutes, then drain and mix with salt.
  3. Steam the sticky rice for about 30 minutes until soft and dry.
  4. Fluff the sticky rice, let it cool slightly, then mix in the smoked salmon and rice seasoning.
